HE Sheikh Faisal bin Thani bin Faisal Al Thani, Minister of Commerce & Industry and Chairman of the Companies House Advisory Council has officially launched ‘Companies House’, a centralised entity created to consolidate company registration and licensing across the country’s leading economic zones.

The new body brings registration, activity licensing, and public registries under a single roof for the Qatar Financial Centre (QFC) Authority, Qatar Free Zones Authority, Qatar Science & Technology Park (QSTP), and Media City Qatar — replacing what had been four separate processes with one point of entry for businesses.

Its remit extends beyond registration. The entity will also deliver corporate services spanning immigration and tax support, alongside oversight of labour standards and data protection compliance.

The launch forms part of Qatar’s wider effort to simplify how companies set up and operate in the country, reducing the administrative burden on firms entering the market.

Sheikh Faisal said: “Bringing these functions together in one place will enable investors to establish their businesses in Qatar’s special economic zones, strengthening the competitiveness of the State of Qatar’s investment environment in line with the objectives of Qatar National Vision 2030.”
