17 September 2026 | The Ballroom, Park Hyatt Doha
The British Chamber of Commerce Qatar welcomed more than 150 members and sponsor partners to its Celebration Evening at The Ballroom, Park Hyatt Doha, marking an important milestone in the Chamber’s first year as BCCQ.
The evening provided an opportunity to bring together the businesses and organisations that make up the Chamber’s growing network, while reflecting on the progress made since the transition from the Qatar British Business Forum to the British Chamber of Commerce Qatar in January 2026.
With more than 250 members representing 120 organisations, BCCQ has continued to develop its programme of business events, briefings and engagement opportunities, with a focus on supporting meaningful business relationships across the Qatar–UK community.
Two perspectives. One strong UK–Qatar business relationship
The evening brought together perspectives from across the UK–Qatar business and diplomatic community, with remarks from Duncan Hill OBE, Deputy Head of Mission at the British Embassy Doha, and Aalia Al-Khater, Investment Development Officer at Invest Qatar.
Their contributions reflected the strength and importance of the relationship between the UK and Qatar, as well as the role that businesses and organisations such as BCCQ play in supporting continued commercial engagement between the two markets.
For BCCQ, strong institutional relationships are an important part of delivering practical value to members and creating opportunities for businesses to engage with the wider Qatar–UK business ecosystem.
A new chapter for BCCQ
The Celebration Evening also marked an important development in the Chamber’s next phase, with the announcement that BCCQ will establish a new office presence within Invest Qatar’s offices in Lusail.
Invest Qatar has offered BCCQ dedicated office space within its new Lusail offices, together with access to meeting facilities. The new presence will provide BCCQ with a practical base from which to meet with members, prospective members and business stakeholders, while enabling closer day-to-day engagement with the Invest Qatar team.
BCCQ will be located alongside Invest Qatar’s investment teams and Corporate Affairs, as well as other international business chambers operating from the offices.
The move follows Invest Qatar’s relocation to its new Lusail offices in August and builds on the relationship between the two organisations, including their joint work earlier this year examining opportunities to advance bilateral trade and investment between the UK and Qatar.
For BCCQ members, the new office presence provides another opportunity for the Chamber to engage directly with Qatar’s wider investment and business ecosystem and to support members through access to relevant institutions, business insight and opportunities for engagement.
At the same time, BCCQ will continue to maintain its existing office at the British Embassy Doha, reflecting the importance of its close relationship with the Embassy and its continued support for the British business community in Qatar.
Together, these relationships form an important part of BCCQ’s development as it continues to strengthen its role within the UK–Qatar business community.
Celebrating the BCCQ community
The evening was also an opportunity to recognise the people and organisations that have helped shape the Chamber’s development.
From long-standing members and corporate partners to new members joining the BCCQ network, the Celebration Evening brought together a diverse cross-section of the business community in Qatar.
The Chamber extends its sincere thanks to all those who attended, as well as to our sponsors, partners, speakers and supporters whose continued engagement contributes to the strength of the BCCQ network.
Looking ahead
While the evening marked an important milestone, it was also a moment to look forward.
BCCQ’s programme continues to develop around the needs and interests of its members, with opportunities throughout the year to hear from senior business and government figures, engage with sector specialists, build professional relationships and gain greater visibility across the business community.
As the Chamber enters the next stage of its development, its focus remains firmly on creating meaningful opportunities for members and supporting the continued growth of UK–Qatar business relationships.
The Celebration Evening was a fitting reflection of that ambition: bringing people together, recognising progress and looking ahead to what can be achieved next.
