SUMMARY:Save the Date - Evening Networking & Interactive Keynote with Kayleigh Basford
DESCRIPTION:BCCQ Evening Networking | The Human Side of Performance\nWhen the Pace Becomes Unsustainable\nManaging Stress to Prevent Burnout with Kayleigh Basford \nWednesday 7 October 2026 | 5:30–7:30pm  \nSAVE THE DATE\nJoin the British Chamber of Commerce Qatar for an evening of networking\, conversation and practical insight. \nAs we move into the cooler months\, we’re bringing our BCCQ community together for an evening designed to offer something a little different — an opportunity to step away from the working day\, connect with fellow members and enjoy an informal evening together\, while making space for an important conversation about the people behind our businesses. \nThe evening will feature a 40-minute interactive session with Kayleigh Basford\, exploring managing stress and preventing burnout. \nA conversation about the human side of performance\nStress and burnout are increasingly relevant to individuals\, leaders and organisations. The pressure to perform\, adapt and keep moving can sometimes become unsustainable\, and recognising the signs early can make a significant difference. \nDrawing on her professional expertise\, real-world insight and lived experience\, Kayleigh will lead a short\, engaging and practical conversation exploring: \n\nThe difference between everyday stress and burnout\nHow stress can begin to tip into burnout — and the signs to look out for\nThe pressures that can affect individuals\, teams and organisations\nHow individuals and leaders can recognise early warning signs\nPractical ways to protect energy\, establish healthier boundaries and sustain performance\nWhat organisations can do to create healthier and more sustainable ways of working\n\nThe 40-minute session is designed to be engaging\, interactive and relevant — giving you practical insight that can be taken away and applied both personally and professionally. \nAn evening to connect\, unwind and continue the conversation\nThe session will sit within an informal evening of networking at Al Messila\, with opportunities to connect with fellow BCCQ members and business professionals in a relaxed resort setting. \nWith outdoor networking\, refreshments and an atmosphere designed to encourage conversation\, the evening provides a chance to step away from the demands of the working day while still engaging with a topic that matters to modern businesses. \nWhy this conversation\, and why now?\nThe event takes place just three days before World Mental Health Day on 10 October\, whose 2026 theme is “Lived Experiences Heard: Real Voices\, Real Change.” \nFor BCCQ\, this provides an important opportunity to look beyond the commercial side of business and consider the people who lead\, manage and work within the organisations that make up our business community. \nMental health and business performance are not separate conversations. How people feel\, work and perform has a direct bearing on individuals\, teams\, workplace culture and the sustainability of organisational success. \nThis evening is an opportunity to have that conversation openly and practically — while also taking time to connect\, unwind and enjoy the wider BCCQ community. \nAbout Kayleigh Basford\nKayleigh Basford is a leadership and workplace wellbeing specialist whose work explores human behaviour\, leadership\, stress\, resilience and sustainable performance. \nHer session will combine evidence-informed insight\, practical tools\, storytelling and lived experience to create an open and relevant conversation around a challenge facing many professionals and organisations today. \n\n\n\nSAVE THE DATE | Wednesday 7 October 2026 | 5:30–7:30pm  \nTickets will be available shortly. \nKeep an eye on your inbox over the coming weeks for your invitation to register and follow BCCQ on social media for event updates and further details. \n  \nIf you are not yet a BCCQ member but would like to find out more about joining the Chamber and becoming part of our growing business community\, please contact us at info@britishchamberqatar.com.
